The " Dalugi" painting was inspired by the surrounding scenery while walking from our barangay to the center of Bacacay early in the morning for a part time job. Dalugi are small rice plants ready for planting rice field. They look like small tall grass, before they were cut into groups it start as a large rectangle that look like grass. It is always amazing to see that kind, now it is often to see those because the farmer plant rice twice a year now due to hybrid rice plants. A long time ago my mother said farmers only can harvest once a year.
