Ombre del Tempo was conceived from the desire to make the action of time on matter visible. The work develops through a controlled oxidation process on iron, in which rust becomes an active indicator of change, carefully modulated to achieve different chromatic and textural intensities. The oxidized panels are enclosed between two sheets of Plexiglas that stabilize the structure and create a suspended space, allowing each stage of the material’s transformation to be observed. The grid-like composition forms a unified organism in continuous metamorphosis, emphasizing time not as a linear sequence but as an active force that shapes, transforms, and redefines matter.
