My most recent series is inspired by my love of jazz. "Ella" named after Ella Fitzgerald was painted while listening to her music for the entirety of the painting. The piece reflects the softness and boldness that of her voice. Her music, and other female jazz artists I listened to during this series moved me to evolve from my previous style of working in a much more modular style. This series is also an homage to the women of jazz and beyond in all art backgrounds who use their art to express their talents to the world and inspire.
