My artistic practice is interested in the role of femininity within the current context of the Anthropocene. I am also interested in our collective experience of perceiving the body (even our own body at times) through a screen, a medium that often distracts or entertains us, filtering our perception of the world and of ourselves. I identify my work with landscape painting, understanding femininity as an extension of nature. In my work, the body acts as a symbol, influenced by ecofeminist theories. I'm often thinking about sorority, challenging myself fomenting it, and practicing it as often as possible. The use of color in my work reflects the hyper-pigmented era in which we live, marked by sensory overstimulation—a time in which humans have altered nature more profoundly than ever before. My painting practice, influenced by my identity as a woman, is distinguished by its strive to maintain honesty. Initially I reflected on the spaces I inhabit: imagined, digital, physical, and emotional environments.
