This mixed-media work is part of my Subway Sonnets series. Layering transferred imagery, oil paint, spray paint and handwritten marks, it draws on the collaborative spirit of New York's old graffiti-covered subway advertisements, where one image became many voices. Here, those voices are women across generations whose stories, courage, and influence continue to shape history.
