The work depicts a headless snowboarder. As in my series “Headless,” the missing head represents moments of mental absence and drifting thoughts. The painting is complemented by a painted snowboard, a former personal board that becomes more than just an object; it becomes part of the visual world of the work. I wanted to shift the sense of control away from the human figure and transfer it onto the object itself.
