This female rendition of the Vitruvian Man represents the idealized woman. The famous saying “cherchez la femme” is used to suggest the woman is the root of all male problems. Given that life comes from the woman, I find this statement rather incongruous. Early religions worshipped the femme as the giver of life, and few matriarchal cultures today live by this philosophy. The Divine Feminine is depicted in this piece to embody the idea of perfection associated with the original Vitruvian Man.
