Sinter/Center explores the subtle intersection of physical transformation and present-moment awareness. The title plays on two essential forces: sintering—the thermal process of fusing fine glass particles into a porous, cohesive solid without liquefying them completely—and centering, the meditative practice of grounding attention within the quiet space of creation. Formally rooted in the organic, cyclical geometry of lotus flora and lily pads, the series utilizes delicate pâte de verre and precise kiln-forming techniques. Sifted glass powders and frits are meticulously built up, capturing the fragile, transient boundary between solid form and suspended air, permanence and vulnerability.
