Time Stands Still: Inspired by the Athabasca Glacier Centuries old. Moving so slowly it looks frozen, yet carving the earth beneath it every single day. I sculpted this piece ridge by ridge, crevasse by crevasse, and somewhere deep into the work, I felt it. That glacier stillness. The noise stops. The to-do list disappears. You are suddenly, completely, here. Glaciers have always been my favorite. There's something about them, a sense of moving into a different world, strange and mysterious and quietly beautiful. This painting carries that feeling. Not the glacier itself, but what it does to you when you finally stand still long enough to notice it.
