Northern Peace: Inspired by the polar bear tundra of Churchill Eight bears, moving slowly across the tundra. I didn't plan eight, nature did. But it stuck with me. In numerology, eight is the number that never ends, the shape of infinity, quiet strength. It felt fitting. The tundra stretched further than the eye could hold. No rush, no noise, just eight shapes drifting through snow like they had nowhere else to be. That's what stayed with me long after I left Churchill: how still everything was, how complete. Nature is at its best when it's left alone. That stillness is what I wanted to hold onto with this piece, so every time you look at it, the same quiet finds you again.
