Anger is a symptom. Looking at the piece, each circle is an instance of anger. They each start from a fleshy, sensitive place and then some sense is struck, shown in purple or green. The next layer is that red, writhing anger sensation as you confirm your perspective. This turns into a dense green, thick feeling- maybe in your stomach- that something is wrong. Then there is a choice of what to do. The tongue is the strongest muscle in the human body and decides when we swallow or purge. When something makes us angry, do we swallow it down or say something to get it out? Do we allow that bitter pill in even if it will harm our truth? In a graphic visual style, each circle shows the ripple effect and the moment of choice.
