Green Terrain is a mixed media relief artwork created entirely from carefully sorted recycled plastic toys and everyday household objects, with minimal acrylic paint. Composed in layered shades of green and turquoise, the work resembles an abstracted landscape or ecological map. Organic zones emerge through repetition, texture, and modular forms, suggesting vegetation, pathways, and terrain without literal depiction. Plastic caps, bottles, and fragmented components are assembled into dense surfaces that echo both natural patterns and manufactured systems. Rather than representing nature directly, Green Terrain reconstructs it through artificial materials, highlighting the tension between growth and control, order and accumulation. Encased within a transparent acrylic frame, the work presents nature as something collected and contained, inviting reflection on how environments are reshaped, preserved, and reimagined within contemporary culture.
