The title comes from a Langston Hughes poem, "After Many Springs": Now, In June,When the night is a vast softness Filled with blue stars, And broken shafts of moon-glimmer Fall upon the earth, Am I too old to see the fairies dance? I cannot find them any more. This piece is my statement that, despite age and the hard lessons this soul has learned, I remain determined to keep and express the magic and love within myself. My friends and loved ones, symbolized by the crows, stand guard while the dragon brings the fire and creativity to my life.
