This piece is personal to me. The still life is more than an arrangement of items, they are all momentos that have either been given to me by loved ones or that symbolize a relationship. Even the red velvet background has meaning as the grand drapes that grace the many stage prosceniums that I found myself on in my early career. The title connotes the notion that, rather than dwell on your mortality (momento mori), remember to live and appreciate your experiences and those that have made your life rich.
