Fathom Break examines the boundary between deep and shallow water. Using a top-down perspective, I build sculptural seafloor with modeling paste and embedded stones. Carved gold and teal ridges mimic bathymetry. A sea turtle hovers in the "fathom break" - the zone where depth becomes measurable.
