It belongs to the serie: Contemporary Altarpieces These contemporary altarpieces emerged during the pandemic, inspired by the old religious altarpieces that narrates God’s story. My boxes or “retablos “contain scenes and human stories that narrates and explore identity, memory, and spirituality. Unlike traditional altarpieces which depicted the divine as external to the human, my altarpieces suggest a spiritual search inward, where the individual recognizes their connection to the universe and to their own existence in pursuit of the self. These are boxes made of acrylic, with canvas inside painted with acrylic paint, and mix media, Swarosky stones etc.,The box has drawings related to the photo I have taken related to the place (architecture, icons, and imaginary drawings that emerge from the place)
