(With base or hanging from the ceiling)has two options.)ARTIST STATEMENT — THE THIRD EYE Through the “third eye,” we position ourselves between two realities: the outside and the inside. The central plane, a transparent wall, holds two contrasting realities of what a country should be. From this structure emerge the sectors that shape a society: Healthcare, Food, Recreation, Culture, Education, and Communications. When wisely guided, these elements can lead a country toward growth and development. Viewed from one side, the work reveals a composition of color in harmony and balance. Each color represents a sector of society, reflecting the order and stability of a developed or developing country. From the opposite side, however, those same colors appear displaced and disordered, revealing imbalance and dysfunction. The absence of good governance affects these countries deeply, as their people call for equality, justice, and social well-being. By looking inward through the “third eye,” perhaps we can move toward a world of peace and harmony.
