Belong to a serie "Altarpieces. These contemporary altarpieces emerged during the pandemic, inspired by the old religious altarpieces that narrates God’s story. My boxes or “retablos “contain scenes and human stories that narrates and explore identity, memory, and spirituality. Unlike traditional altarpieces which depicted the divine as external to the human, my altarpieces suggest a spiritual search inward, where the individual recognizes their connection to the universe and to their own existence in pursuit of the self. Inspired by the photographs I've been taking through out my life, contemplating peoples ego.
