Experimenting with techniques I re-frame compositions, fragmenting them into surface abstractions. Deconstructing surfaces to establish connections between layers, “Tracing Circles 2024” is an abstract Silkscreen produced at The Kala Art Institute in Berkeley Ca. The Tracing Circles print was made with multiple screens from hand drawn films that deconstructed the circle patterns and built layers of color and texture. The journey as experience is essential to why I deconstruct surfaces investigating what is familiar and what is obscure or unknown. I am constantly contemplating the beauty and ethereal quality of nature and places I once called home
