This painting is inspired by the lyrics of Taylor Swift's popular song, "The Last Great American Dynasty".  The subject of the song is Rebekah Harkness, widow of a Standard Oil heir. Rebekah threw extravagant parties at her Watch Hill, RI seaside home called "Holiday House". Her guests included some of the best known artists, choreographers, and dancers of the 60’s. This painting captures the unusual life and times of Harkness while at the same time showing that the new owner of Holiday House, Taylor Swift, has carried on Harkness' tradition of having "a marvelous time ruining everything" in the elite Watch Hill seaside community.
